Mafra |
Mafra is situated 10 kilometres inland from
Ericeira near a huge monastery. In the 13th century this city was
already an important religious place. Later on pope Johannes XXI started
delivering his sermons here. |

towns in Costa de Prata, and well known even beyond the borders. In the

Peniche |
The fortress city of Peniche is situated on
the Southside of a peninsula connected to the main coast of Costa de Prata. |

Santarém |
This is the former
capitol of the Ribatejo region. The city is partially situated on a
hill, 103 meters above the river banks of the Rio Tejo. |

Sintra |
Sintra is situated west from Lisbon on the
slopes of the Serra de Sintra, a 10 kilometres long mountain ridge. Its highest
peak is Cruz Alta, 529 metres high. Highlights: Parque da Pena and Palacio da
Pena. |
