Casa Babylon is a traditional Portuguese house (built in 2010) that blends the nostalgic atmosphere of yesteryear with modern comfort. With three spacious bedrooms and a generous layout, it is the ideal home base for families (less suitable for children) or groups of friends (up to 6 people) who want to discover the “real” Portugal.

Interior with Character

The heart of the home is the large farmhouse kitchen, where you can cook together using fresh ingredients from the local market. The adjacent living room is spacious, featuring a comfortable lounge sofa and a large television. For cooler evenings, the wood-burning stove provides a warm and cozy ambiance.

• Bathrooms: 2 bathrooms, one of which is en-suite for added privacy.

Outdoor Living on the Patio

In Portugal, life is lived outdoors, and Casa Babylon is designed with that in mind. The property features a large, sheltered patio with an outdoor kitchen. Here, you can grill the catch of the day while enjoying a glass of local wine. It is the perfect spot for long summer evenings under the stars.

• Beach & Coast: Within just a 10-minute drive, you are at the family-friendly beach of the shell-shaped bay of São Martinho do Porto. The impressive surf of Nazaré and the lagoon of Foz do Arelho are also nearby.
• Culture & Shopping: Visit the charming daily fruit and vegetable market in Caldas da Rainha or admire the impressive UNESCO monastery of Alcobaça.
• Active Pursuits: The region is a paradise for active travelers. Whether you want to (kite)surf the Atlantic waves, hike through the hills, go horseback riding along the coast, or play a round of golf at nearby courses; everything is within reach.

Rates

Rates vary by season. A security deposit and cleaning fees apply.

• Final Cleaning: € 175 per stay
• Intermediate Cleaning: € 100
• Intermediate Linen Change: € 40

Included in your stay:

• Gas, water, and electricity
• Bed linen and towels
• High-speed Wi-Fi
• Kitchen basics (pepper, salt, oil, etc.)
• For stays of 2+ weeks: Complimentary intermediate linen change and cleaning (can be requested earlier for a surcharge).
• Final cleaning

• Check-in: From 16:00 | Check-out: Before 10:00
• Minimum stay: 7 nights

Payment Terms

• Deposit: 30% upon reservation*
• Balance: 70% six weeks before arrival*
• Security Deposit: € 300**

Cancellation Policy

• More than 3 weeks before arrival: 50% refund of the deposit.
• Less than 3 weeks before arrival: No refund (100% charge).

* A 30% down payment is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid at least 6 weeks before your stay begins. For bookings made within 6 weeks of arrival, the full amount is due immediately.

** The security deposit of € 300 must be paid in advance. Provided the property is left clean and without damage, the deposit will be refunded within 14 days of departure. We strongly recommend taking out travel/cancellation insurance.
